The outer of these Nike Air Force 1 Low x Off-White™ sneakers is filled with a stunning vibrancy that creates an eye-catching look. This is largely down to the use of one of Nike’s signature colors – Volt. Its vivid lime green tone can be seen across the sole unit and the panels that shape the upper, even extending inside the shoe. On the outsole, Volt spreads over the ringed grip design, which provides the wearer with quality traction from heel to toe. It then moves upwards through the lugs around the outsole’s edges and into the midsole, where it covers everything except for the Air lettering on the lateral heel. Appearing in black just above another set of embossed Air text, this bold writing draws attention to the presence of Nike’s bouncy cushioning, which supports the foot from inside the heel of the shoe.

Meanwhile, the upper continues the bright color scheme as Volt coats its various different sections. This includes the forefoot mudguard and rear overlay, which are made from durable ripstop materials, and the mesh that forms the midfoot panels and toe box. The same hue can be seen on the back of the heel, where the overlay has been cut away in a half moon shape to reveal a tough, sturdy rear portion. On its surface, neat black lettering has been printed: “HO18-MNSBSK-131” followed by a series of numbers and hashtags.

This kind of deconstructed design feature is often seen in designer Virgil Abloh’s Nike sneakers, and further examples of the style appear elsewhere on this AF1. For example, the suede heel panel, which comes in a slightly more olive green, has been imprinted with a swoosh below the word “Logo”, and its bottom edge is unattached from the upper. Black swooshes that are sewn down with Volt zigzag stitching emerge from either side of it to lie across the shoe’s sidewalls. The tip of each one is free from any embroidery, leaving it to hang freely over the suede eyestay, whose tone matches that of the heel panel. Volt stitching in the foot of the eyestay adds a contrastive touch, and the lime green laces that thread through it are marked with black text that reads “Shoelaces”. The tongue is also Volt in color, with exposed foam appearing along its peak and a white label sewn into its lateral edge. Embroidered into the surface of this tag are the words “Nike” and “Sportswear”, as well as an orange swoosh. This energetic tone shows up in only one other place on the shoe – the tag sticking out from the bottom of the lateral swoosh.

On the medial flank, behind the swoosh and the mesh of the midfoot panel, more black writing can be seen. The first line states “Off-White™ for Nike”, thus honoring the collaboration, while the rest goes on to detail information like the model name and the year the AF1 was first introduced. Like the rim of the tongue, the collar also exhibits exposed foam, and below it, the shoe’s Volt insole has a pair of black quadrilateral shapes printed onto it. In the larger one, Off-White™’s arrows logo is visible, and in the smaller one, the name of Abloh’s original Nike collaboration, “The Ten”, has been added in stylish Volt text. Finally, an off-white zip tie has been looped through the laces to add yet another standout feature to this dazzling design.
