This rainproof Nike Lunar Force 1 Duckboot has a sturdy appearance alongside a dichromatic exterior. The black rubber outsole has enlarged star formations at the toe and heel ends, crenelated lugs along the sides and circular structures through the center. These classic grip contours have tan-colored lines inside the ridges, and the raised black parts have block-shaped nodes that bring even more traction to the bottom of the shoe. On top of this, a tan midsole with Air technology and Lunarlon foam inside adds plush cushioning to soften the hardy feel of the boot. For aesthetic purposes, a deep groove runs around the heel, within which capitalized Air lettering has been set on the lateral side.

The vamp of the upper is shrouded in a layer of rubber in a pale olive tone. Stars are embossed across both its toe box and its forefoot mudguard, those on the former feature being slightly smaller than the ones on the latter. This gives it a powerful look as well as providing protection for the toes. Tan hues return on the midfoot panels, which are free of perforations so as to maintain the waterproof nature of the shoe. While this segment and the rear overlay behind it are made of smooth leather, the swooshes that lie over the top of them come in tumbled leather, thus bringing an intriguing variation in texture. The heel panel, which has Nike Air text debossed into it, also has a coarser surface, and at the top it tapers into a user-friendly loop that can be used to aid the wearer when pulling the boot on.

Despite its solid outer casing, the inside has been enhanced with extra padding so it is still incredibly comfortable to wear. Soft, fuzzy, tan-colored fabric wraps around the inner lining, and a canvas tongue in the same tone rests over the top of the foot. Meanwhile, the insole is black, its carpeted surface containing a set of Nike Air text, once again in the pleasant tan hue seen all over this design. Back on the outer, the color scheme continues, as the eyestay also has this tone. As well as having strong, metal eyelets, this feature is also reinforced by an additional metal loop at the top through which black laces are threaded.

A black tongue pull with LF1 branding in tan down the middle and tan strips down the edges works with the tab on the heel to make it more convenient to get the boot on and off. There is also a small label emerging from the seam between the outer layer of leather and the underlayer of canvas that sticks out at the top of the ankle. On it, the word “watershield” is written to emphasize the fact that this boot is resistant to all sorts of wet environments, making it a great choice for tough conditions.
