Nike Air Force 1 '07 Next Nature

This pair of Nike Air Force 1 ‘07 Next Nature sneakers includes a mixture of recycled components amongst its leather and rubber construction. This is most clearly seen in the Light Smoke Grey outsole, which has black flecks scattered across its surface, meaning that it has repurposed rubber from the manufacturing process as part of its makeup. These speckles continue into the white midsole, whose slightly coarse exterior is highlighted with two Pale Vanilla embossed lines either side of some Air lettering in the same tone.

Durable synthetic leather covers the upper, where it alternates from a cracked texture through the perforated toe box to a smooth surface over the forefoot mudguard, both of which are white. This textural variation repeats throughout the rest of the upper, with cracked white leather across the midfoot and heel beside smoother material on the eyestay and rear overlay. The Light Smoke Grey swooshes on the flanks also have an even surface. Each one extends back towards the heel panel, which has Pale Vanilla Nike Air branding embroidered into it. This pleasant golden shade reappears on the text sewn into the white tongue patch, before Volt brings a rush of vibrant color to the rim of the tongue, giving a hint of what is to come on the shoe’s inner. While the mesh inner lining comes in white, the insole shines bright in Volt. Printed on top of it is an emblem that represents Nike’s Move to Zero initiative, which commits to using more environmentally friendly practices. The logo features a pinwheel of swooshes, which completes this sustainable and stylish design with a final splash of Light Smoke Grey.
