This pair of AF1 PLT.AF.ORMs comes with a raised midsole that forges an elevated look. This sturdy feature comes in a slightly off-white tone and is adorned with bold Air lettering in the heel. A deep groove wraps around the back of the foot, giving the sole unit a stacked appearance, while a line of stitching encircles the toe. On the outsole, the center portion, which is indented with ringed patterns to provide excellent grip, is a lighter shade of white than the perimeter, whose tightly packed lugs bring added traction around the edges of the shoe.

Like the sole unit, the upper also contains two off-white hues – Sail and Coconut Milk, before a pair of graceful pink tones called Sea Coral and Coral Chalk fill out some of the shoe’s finer details. These show up on various of its branding elements, covering the smooth leather of the lateral swoosh as well as the Nike Air text on the tongue patch and heel panel. The gently tapered toe box is marked with a few small perforations for an understated look that is matched by the white AF1 branding intricately woven into the bottom end of the eyestay. Just above this, a white lace lock with a fine silver outline and Nike swoosh can be seen securing the laces.

Meanwhile, on the sneaker’s medial flank, an enlarged swoosh lies across the heel and midfoot panels, which are joined by a flat seam, before disappearing under the forefoot mudguard. Delicate pink stitching outlines this swoosh, showing where it would continue atop the overlays at both its front and tail end. On the opposite flank, the pink swoosh is shadowed by an intriguing cutout section with raised bumps that lend it a different texture to the smooth leather surrounding it. Lastly, the off-white insole carries a line of pink text that reads “AF1.EST.1982” to honor the historic beginning of this iconic sneaker.
