Jordan 1 Low OG
The color-blocking on this Jordan 1 Low involves three classic tones which come together to forge a heritage aesthetic across the sneaker. The sole unit is made of durable rubber so that it provides great support underfoot, and its dichromatic appearance sets the tone for the shoe’s strong color palette. Its midsole, which has been filled with bouncy Air and soft foam padding, is completely white, while its outsole comes in bright Varsity Red. This vibrant tone spreads across the straight grip lines that fan out around the heel and the circular ones which radiate away from the center of the forefoot.
Meanwhile, the upper has been decorated with a third tone to bring another dimension to its look. This color is black, and it covers the leather of the forefoot mudguard, earning the sneaker the nickname Black Toe. Further dark tones move through the eyestay, across the canvas tongue and around the inner lining, creating a winning contrast with the laces and the Nike Air branding sewn into the woven tongue, both of which are Varsity Red. A different color variation occurs inside the shoe as the Nike Air text printed onto the white insole is black.
This juxtaposition of black and white has also been used through the forefoot, with its white toe box and its lines of ventilation holes, as well as the flanks, which are made up of white leather midfoot panels overlaid with black swooshes. These expressive logos extend back towards the heel, a fine line of stitching crossing through the middle section of each. They rest up against the heel counter and meet at the shoe’s heel panel, both of which are Varsity Red. The finishing detail is set into this colorful heel – a compelling pair of Jordan Wings in black.
