Jordan 11 Retro Low
This captivating Jordan 11 Retro Low is a powerful combination of two legendary Jordan colorways that have lent the shoe its popular nickname: Concord Bred. Its outsole is made of the classic translucent rubber found on most AJ11s, but this one comes in an eye-catching shade of red. Wavy tread patterns ripple across its surface, while the opaque black pods below the forefoot and heel lend added traction through their herringbone grip formations. A plate made from durable, lightweight carbon fiber can be seen partly behind the see-through section of the outsole and partly on the medial side where it emerges from beneath the translucent rubber. Dark and light gray squares form a grid across its surface, and a black Jumpman logo can be made out in its center. With traction taken care of, the white Phylon foam midsole deals with comfort via its bouncy Air cushioning, which reaches the entire length of the shoe for comprehensive support underfoot.
On the upper, a bold black mudguard encompasses the whole sneaker from heel to toe, its glossy patent leather surface gleaming in the light. Upwards of this, the white leather quarter and heel panels bring a touch of elegance to go with the sleekness of the mudguard and the lively coloration of the sole unit. The shoe’s familiar webbed lacing system consists of five strips of white textile that emerge from the seams between the panels on each flank and reach towards the edge of the smooth white tongue. Here, they loop back on themselves to form eyelets capable of holding the sturdy rope-style laces in place.
A series of branding effects have been spread across the outer, each one incorporating one or both of the well-known Bred tones. Firstly, there is a vivid red Jumpman printed on the black insole, with black inner walls surrounding it to fill out the inner. The back of the tongue is also black, and another red Jumpman shows up on the patch sewn into it. Meanwhile, the inner lining extends out onto the heel to form a small tab that hosts the number 23 in red. Just below this is a black Jumpman that has been artfully embroidered into the white leather of the heel panel. The last of these markings can be found on a black patch resting over the middle of the tongue. Stylised white text written across it spells out “Jordan” and “Jumpman”, the two words kept apart by a concluding Jumpman emblem in a vibrant red tone that completes this Jordan 11 low-top in style.
