Jordan 4 Retro

This stylish Jordan 4 Retro combines two of the original 1989 colorways to produce an eye-catching sneaker known as Red Cement. Its color scheme fuses four different tones, three of them neutral, the fourth a striking hue. All of them can be seen on the rubber outsole, whose omnidirectional herringbone grip patterns deliver excellent traction underfoot. Black fills out the front edges of the outsole and much of the forefoot, where there is a section of Fire Red, and a Neutral Grey piece caps the toe, its surface covered in lines of embossed stars. The same shade of grey appears on the heel, and a smooth white area can be found below the arch of the foot, a Fire Red Jumpman leaping brightly across its center.

Black rubber continues up into the midsole, forming its toe and a humped section along the lateral flank. The rest of the feature is made from polyurethane split into a white lower layer and a Fire Red upper one with distinctive black flecks splashed across it. A visible window graces the former, allowing the pocket of Air stored in its heel to be seen, while a second cushion of encapsulated Air in the forefoot brings even more comfort to the wearer.

Moving to the upper, white becomes the primary tone. It coats the underlayer along the quarter as well as the two overlays stacked on top of each other, one around the circumference of the shoe, the other only on the forefoot. At the heel, the overlay loops downwards to make space for the large Fire Red heel panel, which is speckled just like the midsole. Its top half has been formed into a fan shape and embossed with small cuboids to allow the wearer to easily hold onto it when putting the shoe on. Meanwhile, its lower half displays a black Jumpman logo, which rises powerfully from its surface.

Inside, the lining and insole are almost completely black, only the Fire Red Jumpman printed onto the latter bringing a dash of color to it. The back of the tongue is blanketed in the same plush black fabric, delivering softness over the top of the foot, and an Air Jordan patch has been sewn into it. Back on the outer, speckly Fire Red structural wings float over the flanks, each one attached to a black TPU lace cage at the top. White laces pass through these structures, followed by the eyelets in the white leather either side of the tongue, before finishing in another set of fan-shaped lace cages at the bottom, once again in black.

Sections of white over-moulded mesh adorn the flanks and the lower part of the tongue, facilitating ventilation over the top of the foot and therefore adding to the wearer’s comfort. The tongue’s upper half switches to white leather, matching the material on the overlays, and a large square patch has been woven into its center. Upon its white surface, dynamic branding effects are prominently displayed: a Fire Red Jumpman over the word “Flight” in black, thus rounding out this captivating Air Jordan 4 design.
