Nike Air Force 1 '07 LX
"50 Years of Hip-Hop"
This stylish pair of Nike Air Force 1 ‘07 LX sneakers was created to commemorate 50 years of hip hop music and its influence on fashion. As such, it has a number of unique details that reference the genre, alongside many of the AF1’s classic features. The first of these is the grippy rubber outsole, here in dapper Smoke Grey. Its ring-shaped tread patterns emanate out from a gold disc in the heel and a platinum one in the forefoot to represent the congratulatory music records received by artists who produce top-selling albums.
Next up is the classy, Beach-colored midsole, which has the word “Air” embossed into its lateral heel to announce that it contains plush cushioning within. Above this, premium white tumbled leather fills out the panels of the upper. This includes the toe box and midfoot panels, whose breathable perforations keep the foot aerated, and the forefoot and rear overlays that bring added durability to the shoe. The eyestay and laces are also white, as is the tongue, which is adorned with a one-of-a-kind patch. This has bold Nike lettering above the words “50 Years of Hip Hop” in a design that is reminiscent of retro music posters.
While the padded mesh of the collar and inner lining is white, the insole is Smoke Grey. This feature has also been decorated with a distinctive motif in the form of a black and white logo that emulates the look of the original Parental Advisory label. Instead of these cautionary words, this one reads “Nike AF1 Classics” and has a white swoosh in the center. Back on the outer, compelling metallic gray tones cover the swooshes and heel panel, which has Nike Air text embroidered into it in white. Lastly, a golden microphone charm hangs from the laces to round off this celebratory design with a final chic touch.
