Nike Air Humara x Jacquemus

The bright coloration of this Nike Air Humara x Jacquemus design gives it the eye-catching runway flair associated with the Parisian fashion label, while its stocky build adds the rugged abilities of Nike’s famous ACG trail shoe. The latter effect is achieved by the gum brown outsole, which positions waffle tread patterns through its center alongside angular pads that slant in from the edges beneath the forefoot and heel, and studded areas on the toe, heel and flanks. Capitalised Jacquemus text has been embossed below the back of the foot, the large letters also acting as grippy areas to provide the wearer with excellent traction along the entire length of the foot.

The stunning shades of Pink Flash and Pink Prime then alternate across the rest of the sneaker, for a truly standout look. A vivid pink textile enwraps the chunky midsole, whose exterior is marked by debossed ridges that match the flex grooves in the outsole. Meanwhile, its interior is filled with a blend of foam cushioning and encapsulated Nike Air, making it incredibly comfortable to walk on. The upper switches to paler pink tones throughout its mesh base layer, which can be seen on the heel, flanks and forefoot, along with the large leather mudguard that protects the toe.

More textural variation is created by the use of pink suede on the sidewall overlays, which curve across the upper part of each flank from the forefoot mudguard to the sides of the heel. Delicate stitching decorates the front portion of the suede, and pink textile loops form out from beneath the overlay to accommodate the creamy white laces. These are held tightly across the center of the pink mesh tongue by another strip of fabric, this one in a tone that matches the laces. At the top, it loops back on itself to provide the wearer with a convenient pull tab, while at the bottom, it connects to another piece of pink suede that moves towards the toe before fanning out behind the forefoot mudguard.

Around the back of the foot, there is a band of fabric in a deep shade of pink with a lighter stripe running through its center. This passes through a loop below the pink Jacquemus text embroidered into the top of the heel before moving along the flanks and disappearing into a slit cut into each mesh sidewall. It then reappears out of another one just a little way along the flank and moves upwards to pass through a loop in the suede overlay. Finally, it loops back on itself to create the uppermost eyelet for the laces to be secured with. Just above this, the tongue displays another set of Jacquemus branding, once more in pink, for a subtle effect.

Inside the shoe, a vibrant pink mesh coats the lining, and the same beautiful color crosses over the insole, which is marked by dual branding in a slightly darker pink that serves to distinguish it visually from its background. Back on the outer, the flanks hold the sneaker’s last chic detail – miniature gold swooshes which glint in the light to complete this memorable Air Humara with a refined and elegant touch.
