Nike Dunk High
This Nike Dunk High channels retro vibes through its combination of smooth leather and two-tone Panda color-blocking. Just like the original colorways from the mid-80s, this one exhibits a pristine white base layer visible through the midfoot, the toe box and around the back of the collar and heel. The soft, flexible tongue is also white, and the label sewn into its peak is decorated with black Nike text and a swoosh. Black laces also tie up over the tongue, forging further distinctive contrasts in color along the top of the foot.
Laid atop this elegant layer of white are several black leather overlays. There is the forefoot mudguard, the eyestay and the heel wrap, all of which are connected to the upper via fine lines of stitching. Extra bands of white thread run along the front edges of the heel overlay on each flank, and in the middle they cross over the black swoosh, creating an eye-catching variation in color. These Nike logos extend upwards towards the back of the shoe, where they meet at a black pull tab. Below this, on the small patch of white leather that lies between it and the rear overlay, four parallel lines of white stitching can be seen, thus adding to the finely crafted feel of the sneaker.
Elsewhere, the toe facilitates air flow around the foot via its lines of perforations, while at the other end of the shoe, a line of black material can be seen along the topline of the high-cut collar. This padding continues downwards to fill out the inner lining before spreading across the insole as well. Finally, a spark of Total Orange shows up powerfully against this dark tone as it covers the Nike branding that has been printed onto the insole.
