Nike Dunk High Retro

This Nike Dunk High Retro sneaker comes coated in a pair of light colors, evoking the vintage look of the 1985 original, while brighter highlights add a touch of vibrancy to the design. White provides the classic neutral base, firstly on the foam-filled midsole with its band of stitching and irregular lower border, which connects it to the Blue Chill outsole beneath. This has been shaped into the familiar surface that helps every Dunk to achieve high levels of traction. Twists and turns are facilitated by the concentric circles in the forefoot and a solid step comes from the lug structures in the heel.

The upper brings together these same hues in a similar formation, with white leather visible as the underlayer on the toe box and the midfoot panels, as well as around the top part of the heel. The toe contains a fan of perforation holes for breathability, while the heel is marked with curved lines of stitching that mirror the shape of the swoosh tails as they converge at the center of the heel. These Nike logos are made from Blue Chill leather, as are the forefoot mudguard, the eyestay and the rear overlay. This last piece overlaps with the eyestay at the top, and the penultimate two eyelets appear in its surface. White laces thread through these to hold the foot firmly in place.

The white canvas tongue has a Blue Chill trim, atop which is a white label sewn with radiant Amarillo Nike branding. This bold yellow appears again on the text written on the underside of the tongue, and below it on the insole. Here, Amarillo Nike lettering and a swoosh have been printed onto the Blue Chill insole, which is surrounded by a wall of padded inner lining in the same pleasant blue tone. Rounding things out is a final splash of Amarillo on the pull tab at the back of the heel, thus bringing added flair to this stylish sneaker.
