Jordan 11 Retro Low
The gentle use of color on this Jordan 11 Retro Low gives it an understated style and elegance. This can be seen on the outsole, whose largely translucent surface is infused with a soft hint of rose, revealing the carbon fiber plate behind it. Sail pods with herringbone grip lines then appear in the forefoot and heel, delivering additional traction there, while the aforementioned plate supports the foot, its surface decorated with a grid of two gray tones and a white Jumpman. A classic white Phylon foam midsole has been layered over the top, full-length Air cushioning filling its interior to bring plenty of comfort underfoot.
On the upper, the usual patent leather mudguard has been replaced by a similarly glossy panel with a Metallic Red Bronze sheen that has earned the sneaker its nickname: Rose Gold. Another pleasant pink hue fills out the rest of the upper, including the leather quarter panel, the heel overlay and even the webbed lacing system, which here is formed of leather strips rather than a yarn-based textile. Each one of these light pink bands culminates in a loop for the laces to be threaded through, the rope-like cord coming in the same tone as the upper around it to give a cohesive feel to the shoe. This effect is also achieved by the tongue and its branding patch as they are also pink, while the text and Jumpman sewn into the latter are Metallic Red Bronze for a touch of tonal variation.
Internally, the color palette remains the same, with both the lining and the insole coated in a light pink hue. The same can be said of the back of the tongue and the patch sewn into it, though the Jumpman residing there is a darker shade of pink and the one on the insole is white. Back on the outer, the lining extends over the back of the shoe to create a small heel panel which is adorned with a stylised 23 in Metallic Red Bronze. This graceful color then reappears one final time on the miniature Jumpman embroidered into the center of the heel panel to round off this chic AJ11 low-top.
