Jordan 11 Retro Low
This colorful rendition of the Jordan 11 Retro Low features elegant tones alongside intriguing textures, thus creating a highly desirable sneaker. It is built upon a translucent Tour Yellow outsole with wavy grip lines running through it to form a pleasant rippled pattern that stretches across the length of the foot. Meanwhile, oddly shaped opaque sections in a contrasting white lie below the forefoot and heel, each lined with herringbone grip formations that create solid traction underfoot. Behind these features, a carbon fiber shank is visible, firstly through the partially see-through pieces of the outsole, then on a small portion of the medial midfoot where it sticks out beyond the edge of this feature. The first of the sneaker’s many Jumpman logos can also be found here as it resides in the center of the shank plate in white.
The Tour Yellow outsole curves upwards at the front of the foot, where it covers the toe, before a white midsole extends around the rest of the shoe. Full-length Air cushioning is encased within the Phylon foam that the midsole is made of, the combination of the two springy materials making the sole unit incredibly comfortable and supportive. Above this, a layer of faux snakeskin forms the exaggerated mudguard that encircles the whole of the outer. This luxuriously textured material has also been decorated in the dynamic patterning found on many snake species, here in a mixture of white and Tour Yellow that has earned the sneaker the nickname Yellow Snakeskin.
Over the top of the foot is a layer of durable white leather, and another one curves up from the mudguard to wrap around the heel. Five strips of fabric create a webbed effect on each side of the quarter overlay, before forming eyelets for the white laces to be passed through. These tie up over the soft white tongue, whose refined branding effects show up on a band of material placed across its center – the words “Jordan” and “Jumpman” either side of a diminutive Jumpman silhouette in a subtle shade of light gray.
Inside the shoe, the graceful tones continue as everything is coated in plain white except for the vivid Tour Yellow Jumpman printed onto the insole. Another of these golden yellow Jumpman logos has been finely woven into the center of the heel just below the white panel that emerges from the topline of the collar. This is adorned with a final commemorative effect in the form of the number 23 in Tour Yellow – a respectful nod to Michael Jordan’s jersey that rounds off this sophisticated Jordan 11.
