This collaborative Nike Air Force 1 Low x Supreme x Comme Des Garçons sneaker features a classic look but with an eye-catching twist typical of the Japanese fashion brand’s style. Supreme and the CDG diffusion line, Comme Des Garçons SHIRT, have worked together on many other joint projects, becoming known for their use of eccentric prints and graphics along the way. For their first collective collaboration with Nike, they came up with a bold new pattern to distinguish their Air Force 1 design as a truly one-of-a-kind offering.

The shoe rests upon a sturdy rubber base whose all-white outsole brings together concentric circular grip patterns across the heel and forefoot with a linear tread below the arch of the foot, thick lugs spaced out along the edges and star-shaped embossments on the toe and heel. This powerful combination delivers excellent levels of traction underfoot, while the midsole contributes soft comfort through two types of cushioning: encapsulated Air in the heel and soft foam padding throughout the rest. Externally, the midsole is largely white, with the familiar Air lettering embossed onto its lateral heel to show off the comfortable cushioning held inside. A mesmerizing eyeball graphic has then been printed over both sides of the midsole at the back, two large eyes staring out from each flank, giving it an entirely unique appearance.

This dynamic motif, which was used on other items in the collaborative apparel collection, continues onto the white leather upper, extending all the way up to the collar. A distinctive design detail, this captivating emblem has earned the shoe its nickname: Eyes. Across the rest of the upper, the well-known form of the AF1 prevails. The forefoot is made up of a protective mudguard and a toe box with a fan of breathable perforations pressed into it, and the back of the shoe is wrapped in one large overlay. The eyestay, laces and tongue are all decorated white as well, and the silver lace dubrae has been etched with both AF-1 and Supreme text – a common feature on many of the two brands’ collaborative pieces.

Far more subtle branding has been woven into the tongue label as it appears in white thread upon a white surface. Meanwhile, inside the shoe, the lining and the insole come in the same light tone, with classy black text printed onto the latter. This set represents all three of the entities that worked together on this stunning design. Firstly, there is a Nike Air logo and the words “Air Force 1”. These are followed by Comme Des Garçons Shirt text and Supreme lettering at the bottom. These last two lines have also been repeated on the underside of the tongue label to further emphasize each brand’s collaborative efforts.

Back on the outer, the flanks honor this powerful triumvirate once more as, below the white leather swoosh on the lateral midfoot panel, the words “Comme Des Garçons Shirt” and “Supreme” have been printed in black. The two sidewall swooshes then stretch back to meet at the heel tab, which is also made of premium white leather. A Nike Air logo has been intricately embroidered into its surface in elegant white thread, and one final black eyeball has been printed over the top to round off this unforgettable sneaker.
