Nike Air Force 1 Low x Supreme

The understated, minimalist design of this Nike Air Force 1 Low x Supreme makes for a dapper sneaker, while its monochrome upper has seen it nicknamed Olive. It has been constructed upon a light gum brown outsole made of rubber shaped into the familiar grip patterns of the AF1. These include two sets of concentric rings, one emanating out across the forefoot, the other over the heel, star-shaped nodes at each end, and chunky lugs evenly spaced along the edges. With this delivering high levels of traction underfoot, the pristine white midsole brings plenty of comfort through a blend of foam and Nike Air cushioning, a pocket of which has been placed in the heel. On its exterior, the midsole shows off the presence of this supportive technology with embossed Air text on the lateral heel. Meanwhile, a line of white stitching runs in a groove around the entire upper edge of the feature.

Moving to the upper, the usual leather build has been swapped out for smooth Cargo Khaki canvas, a choice of material and color that gives the shoe a certain sophistication. The arrangement of the overlays is the traditional one, with a forefoot mudguard forming a protective perimeter around the toe box, and a rear overlay reaching from the front of the collar around the back of the foot. Metal ringlets bolster the eyelets in the Cargo Khaki eyestay, each one accommodating laces in the same olive green tone. At the bottom, these are secured by a Cargo Khaki lace dubrae etched with AF-1 and Supreme text. At the other end of the tongue, a white patch displays more extensive branding effects in black. There is Nike Air text, then the words “Air Force 1”, and finally a black and white Supreme logo.

Internally, things become much more colorful as the Cargo Khaki lining gives way to a bright red insole with dual Supreme and Nike Air branding in white. Back on the outer, the heel panel is adorned with another Nike Air logo in black embroidery, and Cargo Khaki swooshes emerge from its sides to decorate the flanks. Peeking out from the tail of the lateral swoosh is a tag that mimics Supreme’s famous box logo via its vivid red exterior and the brand’s name written in white through the center, thus finishing off this classy sneaker with a vibrant flurry of color.
