Nike Air Force 1 High x Supreme ‘World Famous’

The dichromatic design of this Nike Air Force 1 High x Supreme ‘World Famous’ gives its eccentric branding effects an attention-grabbing boldness that makes for a striking sneaker. Known simply as the White colourway for its primary use of this clean tone, it rests upon the reliable AF1 outsole of concentric circular grip formations, which emanate out below both the heel and the forefoot. Star-shaped embossments line the toe and heel, while lugs have been placed along the edges of the outsole to complete its sturdy tread pattern. The entire structure comes in white, and a delicate piece of Nike branding has been embossed below the arch of the foot.

Above this, the all-white midsole exhibits a lightly textured finish throughout, with a thick line embossed around the heel that helps to highlight the Air text rising out of the lateral heel. This lettering emphasizes the presence of a pocket of encapsulated Air within the shoe’s heel, which is ably supported by foam cushioning through the rest of the midsole, ultimately providing the wearer with excellent comfort along the full-length of the shoe. Meanwhile, externally, its upper edge contains a shallow groove that runs around the circumference of the midsole, its center filled with white stitching that creates a visual border between the rubber cupsole and the upper.

Premium white leather forms this upper, shaping the underlayer of the toe box and midfoot, as well as the overlays on the forefoot and around the heel. A fan of perforations decorates the toe, with additional ventilation holes in each side of the midfoot to allow air to flow freely through the sneaker. Over the top of the foot, a white leather eyestay secures a set of laces in the same tone, and a metallic silver lace dubrae keeps them even more firmly in place, its surface marked with the text “AF-1” and “Supreme”. Elsewhere, the inner hides a bright flash of color as, below the white lining, the insole is a vivid shade of red which references the well-known Supreme logo, an effect backed up by the white dual branding printed onto it.

Back on the outer, the rear portion of the shoe contains its most eye-catching details. Firstly, an arcing Supreme logo appears in black on the back of the foot, the word split in two down the middle by the white band of leather that covers the seam in the center of the heel. Above this is a glossy white leather heel tab with 94 woven into it in honor of the year Supreme was created. A vibrant red swoosh has been sewn over the top of the number, and a white textile strap passes through the loop made by the heel tab to help give a more stable fit over the ankle. Wrapping round to the front of the collar, where it is fastened with Velcro, the strap displays the words “World Famous” in bold black letters.

At the top of the tongue, a white label shows off more branding from both companies. A Nike Air logo and Air Force 1 text have been woven through the label in black, and just below this, the red and white Supreme box logo has been added, delivering another radiant splash of color to the upper. Finally, powering down the flanks in black pebbled leather are the trademark Nike swooshes that adorn all Air Force 1s, thus rounding off the sneaker with another outstanding tonal contrast.
