Nike Dunk High
The black and white outer of this Nike Dunk High makes for a classic look and a highly desirable sneaker. The durable rubber cupsole is divided into these two tones, the former on the outsole, with its blend of circular and straight grip formations, and the latter across the foam-cushioned midsole. Round the top part of this last feature is a line of white stitching sewn into a shallow groove that encircles the entire shoe. Above this is a smooth band of rubber, and atop that is the smooth leather upper.
The underlayer of the upper is made from crisp white leather, which can be seen through the toe box, the large midfoot sections and the rear portion of the high-cut collar. Inside, the black inner lining envelops the ankle in soft padding, while the black insole acts as a supportive platform for the foot. Upon its surface, a set of white Nike branding has been printed, for a dynamic contrast in color.
Back on the outer, premium black leather overlays wrap around the forefoot and the heel, as well as forming the eyestay. The rear panel curves up from the midsole at the back of the midfoot panel to overlap with the eyestay just below the collar. As such, each side has two eyelets in its peak to accommodate the black laces. Inside the front edge of the heel overlay is a dual line of black stitching, and another white line runs flush against this edge on the white midfoot panel, creating an intriguing aesthetic. This white thread stands out clearly as it passes over the black leather swooshes that reach from the heel pull all the way down the sidewalls to finish in the middle of the midfoot.
Four more strips of white stitching bend upwards in parallel lines across the piece of white leather between the heel overlay and the tail ends of the swooshes. The other side of these logos is another white section which matches the tone of the tongue. At the bottom, the canvas tongue connects to the toe box, where lines of ventilation holes fan out from its center towards the front of the shoe. A white label has been sewn into the opposite end of the tongue, and University Red Nike text has been woven into it to add a final splash of color to this retro design.
