Since launching in 2010, On has developed a strong reputation for its innovative sportswear designs, but the brand has also created several popular lifestyle sneakers. Many feature repurposed versions of On’s powerful running technologies, including 2025’s Cloudzone, which is perfectly optimized for daily use.

The lightweight woven upper of the On Cloudzone is soft and flexible, with mesh paneling across the forefoot and sides for airy breathability. Sturdy zones protect the toe and heel, while the thin tongue contains enough padding to remain sleek yet comfortable against the foot. More cushy materials fill out the collar, offering a plush feeling against the ankle and ensuring a secure fit. Lastly, a textile pull tab has been sewn into the heel for an easy step in experience.

The Cloudzone’s foundation is a low-profile sole unit featuring On’s trademark CloudTec cushioning and premium Helion superfoam for springy underfoot support. A softer layer of foam sits just below the foot, bringing supreme comfort, while a slim nylon Speedboard adds stability through each step. The shoe’s innovative outsole incorporates linear ridges that provide excellent grip throughout, with hard-wearing rubber delivering extra durability beneath the forefoot and heel. Alongside this, its broad lateral grooves and deep central trench offer outstanding flexibility for free, effortless movement.

The On Cloudzone has a sophisticated style that is highly versatile. The angular design of its eyestay and rubber toe cap give a dynamic touch, and the stripped back logos on the flanks, tongue and insole are classy and refined. Its sleek, minimalist esthetic was harnessed by Ronnie Fieg and his streetwear brand, Kith, whose Cloudzone collaboration launched the sneaker in February 2025. Two elegantly monochrome colorways were produced, each with distinctive sidewall logos honoring Fieg’s home city of New York by referencing the Unisphere sculpture in Flushing Meadows Park.

Following this stylish start, the Cloudzone’s springtime general release was boosted by brand ambassador Zendaya, who starred in a playful mock movie trailer inspired by retro sci-fi films. Humorous and surreal, ‘Zone Dreamers’ depicts the award-winning actress embarking on a space adventure with three friends, its message one of courage, unity and trust. This cinematic launch campaign, put together by American fashion stylist Law Roach and British artist Nadia Lee Cohen, promotes the so-called ‘Zendaya Edit’ – a collection of apparel incorporating the brand’s performance technologies but adapted for everyday comfort and style. Images and behind the scenes videos appeared on social media throughout April 2025, giving an insight into the unique campaign while also showing off the Cloudzone, which is at the center of the project.

The On Cloudzone is the perfect everyday sneaker: sleek and stylish, with a supportive build that makes all-day wear relaxing and comfortable.
