Jordan 11 Retro
This Jordan 11 Retro is decorated in a trio of winning colors that represent the popular ice cream it is named after – Neapolitan. Two of these appealing tones can be found on the grippy rubber outsole, firstly through its translucent portion, which has a hint of Atmosphere pink running through it. Meanwhile, the opaque areas below the forefoot and heel, both of which contain herringbone tread formations, are a contrasting Velvet Brown. Behind the outsole, across the center of the foot, the carbon fiber shank plate can be seen adding support underfoot, while also bringing an intriguing aesthetic touch to the design with its white Jumpman logo and fully visible section on the medial side.
The Atmosphere part of the outsole extends over the toe of the sneaker, where it covers the tip of the white Phylon foam midsole. This feature also conceals an Air unit that stretches the length of the foot for maximum cushioning and comfort. On the upper, more smooth Velvet Brown tones can be seen on the patent leather mudguard. This large, glossy layer defines much of the design as it delivers strong tonal variation against the Sail hue that coats the leather panels over the top of the foot and the heel.
Soft white material forms the inner lining to protect the ankle, its mass spilling out onto the heel to form a panel there. The number 23 has been printed into this heel panel in Velvet Brown, and a Jumpman in the same color resides to its lateral side. Another Sail Jumpman logo can be found on the Velvet Brown insole in a clever inversion of the tonal arrangement seen on the heel. Elsewhere, the lacing system creates a webbed look over the top of the foot, its Sail laces tying up over a tongue in a tone to match. Lastly, the delicate Velvet Brown branding effects inscribed across the center of the tongue provide a fitting conclusion to this classy AJ11.
