Jordan 11 Retro
This Jordan 11 Retro is kitted out in fine materials and earthy tones, for a classy look. It rests upon a translucent outsole infused with a Gum Light Brown hue that connects it both physically and aesthetically to the ground beneath. Ripples of wavy indentations form the feature’s grippy tread patterns, which are then supported by the white pods in the heel and forefoot as their rubber surfaces are filled with herringbone traction lines. A sturdy carbon fiber plate is clearly visible on the medial side of the shank and slightly obscured behind the see-through parts of the outsole. Its exterior is marked by a grid pattern that alternates between light and dark shades of gray, and a white Jumpman resides in its center.
At the toe, the light brown outsole extends upwards to cover the front of the white Phylon foam midsole. While its outer part is formed of this lightly textured cushioning, its interior conceals a full-length pocket of springy Nike Air, making the entire footbed comfortable to walk on. Shaping the next layer above this is the Air Jordan 11’s signature mudguard, which is both broad and long, wrapping around the whole sneaker. It is decorated in an appealing mix of brown and tan tones, including Metallic Stout, with a burnished finish that gives it an ethereal quality.
The rest of the upper has been constructed using Neutral Olive suede, the deluxe material filling out both the quarter panels and the heel overlay. Bands of Neutral Olive textile stretch across the former to create the webbed lacing system that the AJ11 is so renowned for, each one with a looped end that holds the rope-style laces in place. These are also Neutral Olive in tone to match the tongue beneath, while the branding effects that adorn the center of this last feature, including the lettering and the Jumpman logo, return to the shimmering Metallic Stout.
Meanwhile, the shoe’s inner walls, the underside of the tongue and the insole are all blanketed with a velvety Neutral Olive material, thus creating a gentle surface to soften the area around the foot. This fabric continues outwards beyond the top of the collar at the heel, where it forms a small tab. Jordan’s jersey number of 23 has been stamped into this tab, once again in Metallic Stout, the color then receiving some additional sheen on the Jumpman gracing the lateral heel beside it. This lively logo has been molded from shiny material, giving it an eye-catching luster that finishes off this sneaker with a dash of style and flair.
